U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard

The College Scorecard is aimed at helping students and parents choose the higher education institutions that provide the best value.

Data is based on factors including average earnings of graduates, graduation rate, percentage of students who are able to pay back loan debt and more.

Kettering University alumni are 33rd nationally in Salary After Attending’ in the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard. Specific academic programs had the following  College Scorecard rankings:

Outstanding In Their Field

Professors at Kettering University include some of the top engineers, scientists, and academicians in the world. Most of our professors have earned Ph.D. degrees - that's the highest academic rank there is - after years of study at some of the top universities worldwide. Their work goes far beyond what you see in the classroom.

Integrating the Humanities in the Classroom

Kettering's outstanding STEM educational offerings  would not be complete without an exploration of the arts and humanities through the Liberal Studies department. A broad exposure to Liberal Studies encourages personal development, inquiry into socially responsible citizenship and an appreciation for how one’s professional expertise serves the larger world.

Kettering's Liberal Studies courses emphasize critical thinking, effective communication and the examination of ethical issues. They help students to sharpen their abilities to reason well and to act effectively and responsibly. Liberal Studies complement a student's major with courses in humanities, social sciences, communication, economics and leadership throughout their undergraduate career.

Kettering University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Our programs are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

Cooperative Education

Unlike most universities, Kettering requires co-op or experiential learning for every degree program. Students begin their co-op as early as their first year. There is nothing more powerful than the combination of classroom theory with real world experience - that's co-op.
