Computer Engineering
Do you want to learn how to design the next generation of embedded computer systems?
If you are an undergraduate Engineering student, then consider the Computer Engineering Minor as part of your bachelor’s degree program.
The program focuses on embedded computer systems, in which a computer chip, module or circuit board is built into a larger product or system, such as a mobile phone, GPS device, hybrid and electric vehicle drive systems, autonomous vehicles, medical diagnostic devices and manufacturing systems.
This minor requires a total of 32 credit hours in the areas of digitals, microcomputers, algorithms, circuits, electronics, embedded systems, networks and operating systems.
While the demand for computer hardware engineers is expected to slow slightly, the median salary is approaching $120,000, according to the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The program in Computer Engineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
