Our Robotic Roots

 

Kettering University has been active in FIRST and VEX Robotics for more than 20 years. The University houses a FIRST Community Center, hosts robotics competitions, awards robotics scholarships and offers pre-college and other robotics programs. Students at Kettering pursue robotic interests in academic programs, compete in collegiate robotics and serve as mentors for K-12 robotic teams.

Are you tired of looking at computer screens? Is your robotics team anxious and ready for actual in-person competitions? The Kettering Kickoff is a popular annual contest that matches the robots from last season’s FIRST Robotics with this year’s high school teams.

Join us for the Kettering University RADC Aerial Drones Competition coordinated through the Robotics Education Competition Foundation. This event is for Michigan teams only.

Summer Camps & On Demand Workshops

Kettering University offers more than 25 unique camps and learning experiences; from robotics to cyber security and leadership development to biological sciences. The FIRST Robotics Community Center also has partnered with FRC teams, mentors, and alumni, Kettering professors, and professionals in STEM fields to provide you with quality workshops. 

Kettering University students love robotics and so much more. We have competitive teams in Combat Robotics, Esports, and SAE competitions including Formula, Autodrive, Baja and Clean Snowmobiling.
