Guest Students

Kettering University welcomes non-degree seeking students who wish to enroll in specific courses for their own enrichment or for transfer to a degree program at their home university. Non-degree students receive transcripts and full academic credit for courses successfully completed. Non-degree enrollment is limited to two courses each term.

Who is eligible?

To be admitted as a guest student at the undergraduate level, you must have earned a high school diploma, a GED certificate or the equivalent. Those who have previously been denied admission to a degree program at Kettering may not be admitted as a guest student.

What courses can I take?

Guest Students may take any class as long as they meet the class prerequisites and there is space available. Individual courses for upcoming terms may be viewed on Kettering’s Dynamic Schedule.

What is the Cost?

Guest students are not eligible for Financial Aid through Kettering University. For the 2024-2025 academic year, starting July 1 tuition for one Undergraduate 4 credit course is $6,464.
