Shell Eco Marathon

Shell Eco-marathon is a competition in the Americas, Europe, and Asia for high school and college students to develop efficient vehicles.

The Competition

Shell Eco-marathon Americas took place at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan from April 27-30 2017

Teams are tested over several days on a track and the energy efficiency of each vehicle is calculated. The team to drive the furthest on the equivalent of one liter of fuel in each category wins. Team members will also attend seminars and career fairs for environmental engineering at the competition in April.

About The Team

Kettering University's team, Electric Bulldog, is a group of A-Section and B-Section undergraduate and graduate students who are members of the Greener Engineering Organization. Our vehicle will be in the Battery-electric Prototype category, attempting to build the most efficient car possible using only battery power.
