During the past month, many activities both in and outside of work have made this term go by fast. Halloween activities at Tenneco and a drive day for the Formula SAE team made this past month anything but boring.
As the ghouls and ghosts came out on October 31, Tenneco had some sweet surprises for its employees. Sweets and treats were available during lunch. In addition, a Halloween from the neck up costume contest was held, which, along with the treats, made for a day that allowed Tenneco employees to have fun and relax, two things that are typically not thought of when someone says the word “work.”
Another fun activity, this time outside of work, came on November 7, when Kettering University Provost James Zhang, President Robert McMahan and Vice President for University Advancement and External Relations Sue Davies had the chance to drive GMI2014, the fastest Formula SAE car that the Kettering University Formula SAE team has ever made. It was a great opportunity for them to meet everyone on the team while having the chance to drive a racecar.

These are just some of the fun activities that happen during work term, and with Thanksgiving and Christmas fast approaching, it is certain that there will be more activities to look forward to both in and outside of work. These activities, along with living their dreams as college students, show why Kettering University students enjoy the co-op program.
