“We pride ourselves on adapting our services to the needs of students, and this Center is a prime example of our commitment to respond to and serve our student body as efficiently as possible.”
A new Student Services Center -- called Bulldog Central -- in the Sunset Room in the Campus Center is designed to make it easier for students to complete administrative tasks related to their enrollment at Kettering University. Bulldog Central opened January 12, and will be operational from noon-1:20 p.m., Monday-Thursday during the spring 2015 term.
The idea behind Bulldog Central is to provide students with a convenient opportunity and location to address a variety of tasks including these departments as follows:
- Cooperative Employment and Experiential Learning
- Financial Aid
- Graduation
- Information Technology
- On-campus Housing and Board
- Parking
- Registration
- Student Accounts
- Student Activities
- Thesis Advising
- University events and sign-ups
“The idea for this Bulldog Central developed as a result of the feedback we received from students,” said Betsy Homsher, vice-president for student life and dean of students. “We pride ourselves on adapting our services to the needs of students, and this Center is a prime example of our commitment to respond to and serve our student body as efficiently as possible.”
Bulldog Central will be staffed by specialists in each of the service areas listed above. Students will have access to forms and processes related to each of the services in addition to self-service opportunities.
“Students will be able to complete most of their administrative tasks right at the Bulldog Central,” said Nadia Gilbert, coordinator of the Bulldog Central. “If we can’t address concerns at the Center itself, we will make sure the students are provided detailed directions and instructions on how to proceed to each of the individual departments.”
