Kettering University recently announced the launch of a new program - Online MS Electrical and Computer Engineering-Advanced Mobility Focus. This program -- the first of its kind – addresses the industry’s demand for engineers in this new arena of mobility technology.
The new program builds an Engineering or Computer Science major’s foundation in STEM education by modeling and examining the dynamic systems that make autonomous vehicles and mobile robotics possible. It is designed to enable engineers and those with a computer science background to take their expertise to the next level.
Upon completion of the program, graduates are positioned to lead teams charged with improving various dynamic mobility systems, working with autonomous vehicles, and supporting the technology required to make system work effectively and efficiently.
“Kettering University Online continues its proud tradition of working with partners in the automotive industry while providing an education that applies challenges in the workplace to tools in the classroom,” said Dr. Christine M. Wallace, Vice President for Kettering University Online. “This new program combines experiential and applied learning to empower students to be part of the future of technology and mobility.”
This program, which is done 100 percent online, has been developed through the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Kettering University. It is designed for working professionals, allowing students to focus on one class at a time, which increases synthesis of learning and acquisition of knowledge.
