Kettering University was ranked 14th nationally among non-Ph.D. granting engineering programs in the annual U.S. News and World Report ‘Best Colleges’ edition, released on September 12.

Kettering University’s engineering program consistently ranks among the top programs in the country in the U.S. News and World Report rankings. Kettering was also designated a ‘Best in the Midwest’ university by the Princeton Review in its 2018 Best Colleges edition and the Washington Monthly ranked Kettering fifth in the Midwest in its ‘Best Bang for the Buck’ college rankings.

Kettering University also appeared in Forbes "America's Top Colleges" rankings for the first time in 2017. Kettering was ranked 320th nationally (out of 650 universities Forbes evaluated), 219th nationally among private universities, 69th overall in the Midwest and ninth in Michigan. 

Additionally, in the past year, Kettering ranked 19th nationally and first in the Midwest for Return on Investment by PayScale.com and was ranked first in the Midwest in career preparation by the Wall Street Journal. Using the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard data, Zippia.com rated Kettering as the best university in Michigan for economic mobility in 2017.
