Kettering University students are invited to celebrate 'Thank A Giver' (TAG) Day at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2015, in the Great Court.

Tag Day helps educate the Kettering community about the role of philanthropy in their daily campus experiences. From the statue of General Determination, to the SAE Design Center, to student scholarships, Kettering’s alumni and friends give generously to support the student experience in a variety of ways.

This year, Kettering students will be asked to show their appreciation by paying the kindness of Kettering supporters forward to the greater Flint community. The members of Alpha Phi will be baking and bringing 200 sugar cookies to the Great Court in the Campus Center. Students, faculty and staff are welcome to decorate the cookies together while learning about the invaluable contributions that Kettering alumni and donors have made to academics, student life and the campus. The cookies will be then be delivered to Carriage Town Ministries during their evening meal that is attended by 100-125 individuals in need each evening.

Markers and blue ribbons will be placed all over campus to highlight the targeted and general contributions that Kettering alumni have made and continue to make on campus. Students in the Great Court will also be afforded the opportunity to sign thank you cards for donors.

Take a photo of yourself beside one of the blue ribbons across campus and post it on Facebook and/or Twitter with the hashtag #TAGDay to personally thank a giver yourself.
