Kettering University is one of 39 institutions accepted into the Common Application for the 2013-14 academic year.

The Common Application is a not-for-profit membership organization that, since its founding over 35 years ago, has been committed to providing reliable services that promote equity, access, and integrity in the college application process. The Common Application serves students, member institutions and secondary schools by providing applications that students and school officials may submit to any of its nearly 500 members. Membership is open to colleges and universities that promote access by evaluating students using a holistic selection process.

Kettering's acceptance into this partnership will drastically simplify the application process for potential students and high school guidance counselors. Students can now apply to Kettering, and any of the nearly 500 other Common Application member schools of their choosing, by filling out just one, common application.

In preparation for joining Common Application, Kettering University has reviewed its undergraduate admission policies and aligned a more holistic review process that will start in the summer of 2013.

“In joining the Common Application, we anticipate increasing the diversity of our applicant pool and student demographic, easing the application process for many of our candidates, simplifying the process for high school guidance counselors who submit materials for students and joining other select U.S. colleges and universities in this unified effort,” said Karen Full, Kettering University Director of Admissions.
