Sonia Syngal ‘93, Global President and CEO for Old Navy, will deliver the Kettering University Commencement Address on June 17.
Syngal leads Old Navy business across all geographies and channels with a team of 56,000 employees. A design-driven, innovative leader, Syngal has delivered growth and unlocked revenue potential across multiple functions and industries. She achieves lasting value by delivering transformation in product, process and people.
In her 13 years with Gap Inc. Sonia has held leadership roles across Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Athleta and Intermix, including leading the company’s global supply chain and product-to-market model, and before that as Managing Director of Europe.
Prior to Gap Inc., Syngal had a successful career in Fortune 500 product companies, including 10 years at Sun Microsystems and six years at Ford Motor Co.
Syngal holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University and a master’s degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Stanford University. She serves on the Gap Foundation Board of Trustees.
Kettering University’s Commencement Ceremony is Saturday, June 17, at 11 a.m. in the Connie and Jim John Recreation Center.
