Members of the Flint community are invited to Spring Fest on Saturday, June 3 from noon to 5 p.m., at Kettering University’s Atwood Stadium, 701 University Ave.

The B-Section Chapter of the National Association of Black Engineers (NSBE) is hosting the event to introduce youth to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) activities.

“We desire to build a relationship with Flint residents, instill trust in the community and provide an afternoon of laughter, fun and games,” said Stephen Alexander, NSBE B-Section Senator. “We also want to inspire the youth to be enthusiastic about science, technology, engineering and math.”

The free event will include bounce houses, STEM activities and games. The Slice Pizza and Pies and Yum Vittles food trucks also will be on-site.

Spring Fest has been taking place for more than 15 years. Last year, around 400 people attended.
