Research Profile
A recognized leader in thermal management and the application of simulation-driven product design to optimize and validate concepts and drive prototype reduction.
Broad knowledge of electric and hybrid vehicle systems.
Hands-on experience in powertrain cooling, electronics thermal management, and automotive climate control systems.
Expert knowledge of CAE methods, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and thermal simulations.
Certified Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Black Belt. Achieved $3.7M in hard savings.
Hobbies
Reading, community service, charity, mentoring young engineers and restoring classic cars.
Favorite thing about being a faculty member
As a professor of engineering at Kettering University, the best part of my job at the Department of Mechanical Engineering is the ability to incorporate more than 25 years of engineering and industrial experience into the development of undergraduate and graduate courses in the thermal-fluid discipline as well as into students’ research and capstone design projects.
