Kettering Robotics Center

The Kettering Robotics Center, established in 2014 as the FIRST Robotics Community Center, was the first facility of its kind on any university campus in the United States.

In 2021, a nearby classroom was repurposed to support VEX teams and host summer camps. By 2024, additional space was identified and renovated to serve as a dedicated build area for Kettering’s VEXU team, KUdos. In 2025, the Center expanded further with the opening of a space for drone programs, providing resources for aerial robotics teams. Now referred to simply as the Kettering Robotics Center, it supports students involved in diverse and challenging robotics programs, encompassing both land-based and vertical robotics initiatives.
