Artificial Intelligence

Computer Gaming

Cybersecurity

Your degree culminates in a capstone project to showcase your creative thinking and computer science mastery. For your senior thesis, you can expand upon prior work from classes or Co-op experiences with deeper research and analysis.

Your thesis may even evolve into a published research paper. For example, Ethan Pereira ‘23 developed his AI project into a paper called “3-Dimensional A* For Collision Free Walking Gait.”

Kettering University students regularly form teams to participate in hackathons around the country. Our students outperform schools ten times our size, and the students always enjoy the exciting technology developed for the competition.

Students who earn a bachelor’s in computer science find their skills in high demand. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) forecasts the overall employment of software developers, quality assurance analysts and testers to grow 25 percent through 2032. It also reports that in 2023, the median salary for software developers was $132,270, while quality assurance analysts and testers earned $101,800.

The BLS also projects overall employment for information security analysts to grow 32 percent through 2023. The median pay for current workers in 2023 was $120,360.
