Would you like a degree that can arm you with the universal language of engineering, science and management?

Our Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Mathematics provides you the skills to work easily with engineers, managers and scientists in a wide variety of fields. Here you will develop skills to use mathematics in modeling and solving real problems of mathematics, science, engineering, commerce and industry.

The program also provides a sound preparation for graduate study.

You will choose from four concentrations:

  • Actuarial Science
  • Applied and Computational Mathematics
  • Applied Statistics
  • Mathematical Biology

The degree is very flexible in serving the interests of business and industry, preparing the student for a wide variety of careers.

Our graduates in Applied Mathematics say their broad-based education enables them to contribute to team approaches to problem solving.

A federal jobs forecast from the Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates growth at multiple times the national average for actuaries (18 percent), mathematicians and statisticians (33 percent), and operations research analysts (25 percent) with median salaries up to $108,350.
