President's Student Advisory Council (PSAC)
The PSAC is currently being reconstituted. Check back for future updates.
The purpose of the President’s Student Advisory Committee is to advise the president on matters of importance and concern to students and to serve as the principal body of communication between students and the president.
PSAC is composed of a wide array of students drawn across sections, including the president and vice president of each section of Student Government, as well as representatives from each of the following organizations (for each section):
- Panhellenic Council
- KSG Finance Council
- Inter-Fraternity Council
- Academic Council
- KSG Operations Council
- KSG Vice President
- Residence Hall Association
In addition, additional student members from each section are selected by the president from nominations submitted by the student body at large.
PSAC is structured around three subcommittees that work throughout the year on initiatives they identify and research. These subcommittees bring student feedback and opinions to PSAC meetings, and PSAC collaborates on finding solutions to these problems. PSAC subcommittees work independently on student issues they identify and research.
The PSAC subcommittees are:
- Academic Affairs - The Academic Affairs Committee works to improve the academic environment of graduate and undergraduate students at Kettering University.
- Student Affairs - The Student Affairs Committee works to improve the quality of student life for graduate and undergraduate students at Kettering University.
- Budget - The Budget Committee works with budget and finance issues at Kettering University.
The PSAC meets one or two times per semester to present committee progress and to openly discuss ongoing and new issues. Normal term of service is one year with the option of reappointment. If you are interested in voicing your thoughts or opinions to the President’s Student Advisory Council, we encourage you to contact any PSAC member.
