Kettering students seeking cooperative employment are invited to the National Cooperative Education Employment Fair Aug. 21, 22 and 23. An expected 40 employers from around the United States will attend to recruit Kettering students for their professional co-op opportunities. Students are encouraged to dress in business attire (suit and tie) and come equipped with resume in hand and ready to interview. This event is intended for Kettering students only.
Some organizations will be hosting information sessions in the evening of Aug. 21 from 6-8 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn more about employers, what positions they have available, and how their co-op program works. These sessions will be conducted in the Academic Building. Business casual is acceptable for the employer information sessions. Assigned rooms will be posted.
The employment fair is Aug. 22 from 2-6 p.m. in the Recreation Center, and companies will be accepting resumes. Students can visit with company representatives and are encouraged to ask questions and inquire as to the opportunities available within their organization. This is a key day of the fair, and an opportune time for students to land a more formal interview on day three.
Some companies will be formally interviewing students Aug. 23. Students are expected to know their availability and schedule an interview with each interested employer at their request. The interviews will be conducted in the International Room from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
