The Wellness Center provides individual counseling to students who experience psychological, behavioral, or learning difficulties whenever they occur.  Counselors are available by appointment. Students can drop by or call the Wellness Center to make an appointment. Some issues that a counselor can help with include, but are not limited to:

  • Disability accommodations
  •  Relationship conflicts
  • Stress and/or other emotional difficulties
  • Grief and loss issues
  • Alcohol or other drug use
  • Transition to college life
  • Harassing and bullying issues
  • Workshops on a variety of topics

Ulliance

Crisis counseling is available by phone at 855-774-4700.  Students in crisis (whether on campus or on a co-op assignment elsewhere) should utilize our Student Assistance Program, available 24/7, 365 days a year, through Ulliance, a national leader in providing mental health services.  Students may reach them at 855-774-4700 at anytime and from any location to speak directly to a licensed mental health specialists.  This university-sponsored program provides confidential crisis assistance to students at no cost. 

Counselors are available on campus to assist students in their growth and development as individuals. We provide a variety of services to address personal, social, academic and career concerns of students.

The Wellness Center has developed a partnership with Ulliance to create a Student Assistance Program (SAP).  The SAP assists students in having a successful and enjoyable experience at Kettering University and at their co-op location.

The SAP program is a University-sponsored benefit providing confidential assistance to you. Some of the issues that the program can help with include, but are not limited to:

  • Relationship conflicts
  • Stress or other emotional difficulties
  • Grief and loss issues
  • Alcohol or other drug use

 

 

 

By referring you to resources in your area (whether you are on campus for your academic term or off on your co-op term), Ulliance can also provide assistance with other matters, such as:

The SAP is available 24 hours a day by calling 1-855-774-4700.  It is completely confidential, will assist regardless of your location and costs you nothing to use.

Ulifeline.org is an online mental health resource for college students.  Within this site, you can find various topics, articles, resources, etc. about being things that going on in your life.  Utilize this site as an added support resource that enhances your relationship with our counselors on-staff.
