Why I chose Kettering:
"I wanted to go to a university that allowed me to continue running the band sosaveme, but also gave me a good education."
What are the five best things about Kettering?
- Small class sizes
- The co-op program
- Faculty who have worked extensively in their fields
- Staff that wants to help you to succeed
- Challenging courses that stretch you as an individual
What is your coolest co-op experience?
"Every day of work for me is the coolest assignment; I get to travel the U.S. playing music. Though doing taxes and the financial stuff for the band isn't that fun, running and owning my own business far outweighs all the negatives. I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to attend Kettering and pursue my passion while doing so."
What advice do you have for students considering Kettering?
"Sometimes it’s hard to decide around the age of 17 what you want to do with the rest of your life. Don’t feel rushed or pressured to make any decision when it comes to which college you will attend and what you will study. With that said, Kettering offers real world experience alongside your classroom education. You learn practically and theoretically by the integration of the co-op experience throughout your school term. It’s hard to match coming out of Kettering with a solid resume filled with a lot of real experience."
